Why do the call them "clipless" anyway? You do snap your shoe into the pedal and lock on. If a pedal with clips is the norm, what is a normal pedal without clips? Clipless?
Anyway, we went to Antigua Guatemala for Spanish language and while there I went for a bike ride with an American who runs Old Town Outfitters. One thing led to another and we got into a conversation about his clipless pedals. He eventuallyconvinced me that clipless would "take it to the next level". When I came back I went to my favorite bike store, City Bikes, and asked what I needed. I intended to do "research"; later that day I came back and bought the Shimano M520 SPD Pedals and Specialized Shoes.
