This ride is probably at the upper limit of my abilities. I climbed much of it in 1-1 but did not walk any of it. I stopped frequently to catch my breath but did not give up. I scared myself coming down, bounced around a bit but did not go down. I would do it again.
This is a short part of the ride outlined in Virginia Mountain Biking by Scott Adams. Double-track and pseudo-double-track, sometimes I was riding in the ruts between knee-high weeds. As you can see from the profile there's some pretty steady uphill with some flat dips for resting, the downhill back was a nice reward. Also rewarding were some of the views although there is still a lot of foliage. Some of the trees were magnificent colors.

Since Google doesn't know about the Fire Road the only thing I can show here is the parking lot.
