Fort Pulaski is interesting from a historical point of view. A turning point in warfare. The lighthouse trail is a great place for someone who wants to get off of roads and double tracks but is not sure about rocks and roots and roller coaster hills. It's less than a mile and winds through the woods. There are a few humps and some spots with loose sand but it's all easy. To get to the trailhead follow the berm that circumnavigates the fort in either direction until you find a ditch crossing to the outer berm, turn left and you'll see the trail.
