A short but pleasant ride, mostly away from the traffic. The eastern end beyond the park is pretty boring. Much of it runs along the highway. To make it more interesting go to the Suwannee River Cove for lunch
The western end to the Spring is mostly behind a line of trees from the highway. The east-west ection across to the spring is along a road with no traffic. The spring itself is one of the deepest in FL and a popular dive spot, divers follow the tunnel for thousands (yep, 1000s) of feet into the spring source. Not my cup of tea but....
This could be a useful shuttle route for a short paddling trip down the Suwannee.
In Live Oak go to the Down Town Cafe, a family place, for cappuccino and sweets and sandwiches.
