The trails here are a well kept secret. I had launched from the Platation Ruins to paddle the creek upstream and was told there was a short trail that I could bike from there. Then someone told me about the Fairchild Treee and I ended up here. What a delightful surprise!
Not to take anything away from the tree, it is magnificent as you can see from the photos, but the hidden gem is the system of double track trails through the woods. Almost nobody was there. As far as I can tell there is no map that is easily available.
